Study-Bible MCP · source corpus

Everything the connector can cite

The complete inventory of texts the study-Bible MCP serves from owned data — translations, tagged original languages, lexicons, 9 public-domain commentaries, a 308-author church-fathers catena, the historic creeds and confessions, and a 985-work full-text grounding corpus searched at call time. Every answer is grounded in owned data — no runtime call to a third-party API. Distinct from the teacher-facing Living Library catalog.

About the chat system

persona · 32 tools

Exegetica's default voice is exegesis-first: it establishes a text in its grammatical, historical, and literary context, then reads Scripture christotelically as one story culminating in Christ, with a special focus on the Christian life as an expression of a reality established by union with Christ.

It is grounded, not recalled. Instead of reciting from training data memory, it calls the connector tools below to fetch owned data — the passage, the lexicon entry, the commentary, the father, the confession — and cites what it used, so every claim can be checked against the text.

The tools the persona can call — all read-only, run against owned data, none requiring an external API. The first six groups ground answers in Scripture and the historic church; the last serves Exegetica’s built-in Gospel of John course.
